What I’m getting* for Chrismahanukwanza.
Bit of background: I’m currently on the road, with many destinations to choose from and no real timeline.
I’ve basically been living out of suitcases for the past 8 months an I need to upgrade some stuff.
Here’s what I’ll be getting in the next few weeks:
First off, I’ve got to replace my general daily use bag. My current one is a basic Dickies messenger that cost me $15 and lasted me through 11 years worth of school and work and travel and is only now starting to show some wear. I still havn’t made up my mind about whether to get a vintage airline bag, or a Freitag, or something more grown-up, classic and nondescript. I’m leaning toward the Jack Spade.
I need a new digital SLR and an HD camcorder. I now have no recollection why I sold my old one.
The Nikon D90 has everything I need in a digtal SLR including full HD video. I’ll also need a Tamrac Pro Zoom 5 to put it in.- I’m gonna need a Soho Laptop Sleeve or a Foofbag to protect my Macbook Pro in my new bag.
- If I end up coming back to Toronto, I’m gonna need a some Winter boots and either a Vintage Fishtail or the Spiewak Snorkel Parka.
*I know for a fact that nobody’s gonna buy me any of these things so I’m just gonna have to get them myself.
